About

Passion. Experience. Education.

The crux of my teaching experience has been to instill and foster the artistic spark in my students. The diversity of the student body at Greenhill School and at Irving High School has afforded me the opportunity to mentor a wide variety of students in their artistic endeavors. As the Technical Theatre Curriculum Writer for Irving ISD I was in a unique position to support fellow educators as well as students.

During the course of my professional theatre career I have been a strong proponent of women in the arts and specifically of women in technical theatre. I took part in a panel hosted by Water Tower Theatre (2016) exploring experiences of female theatre designers and discussing the future of women in the arts. As an educator, I have been focused on bringing young people into the industry and preparing them for their future.

I have spent my career in and out of the classroom as an active proponent in advancing the arts. As an artist and an educator, I continue to challenge myself with the same belief that I try to instill in my students; learning and personal growth is a continuum that has no set limits.
